Gay Conservative Republican Group Barred from National Convention

The American Conservative Union has barred a group from sponsoring and fully participating at the GOP’s next national convention.  Ana Navarro of the conservative gay Republican group known as GOPround says the group wants a candidate with strong informed beliefs, courage, and opinions – even when they are not politically convenient.

Diana Cardenas, wife of ACU leader and Miami attorney Al Cardenas, replied to Navarro by saying she would be “very disappointed” if Texas Governor Rick Perry did not favor a ban of gay marriage, calling gay marriage laws destructive and saying marriage goes beyond an emotional relationship and serves as stability and continuity of society.
